Job Title: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse - Rotational Shift
Job Summary: The MS/TELE Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit. The RN will plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs while adhering to professional standards and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
Develop and coordinate individualized care plans based on patient needs, physician diagnoses, and health status.
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care efficiently.
Document care in alignment with professional standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
Advocate for evidence-based practices and support care innovations.
Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with the nursing practice model.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit in a major acute care hospital.
Strong background in MS/Tele.
Education & Licensure:
Required Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN).
Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Required Certifications & Licensure:
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
Telemetry Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA)
Continuing Education Units (CEU) Contact Stroke (4 Hours)
New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
Work Schedule:
Location: Healthcare facilities across New Jersey
Hours: 36 hours per week (3 x 12-hour shifts)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift Availability: Rotational Shift
Requirements: Every other weekend, holiday shifts required, no on-call
