Our client is an industry-leading engineering firm, and they're hiring a full-time Mechanical Engineer II for their health and sciences department. Based in Camden County, NJ , you'll be designing HVAC and mechanical systems, analyzing drawings, and guiding less experienced engineers in completing high-quality work.
Depending on your mechanical engineering experience, you'll earn $90,000 - $110,000/year . You'll be eligible for bonuses and will have a hybrid schedule (spending at least 3 days per week in the office). WHAT TO EXPECT AS A MECHANICAL ENGINEER II:
Collaborating with project managers, senior engineers, and designers to design HVAC systems for healthcare, academic, and corporate research facilities
Designing energy-efficient HVAC systems, reviewing drawings for technical accuracy, and conducting load calculation analysis and energy modeling
Supporting project managers with proposal development, client management, and overall project execution
Performing site surveys, attending pre-bid meetings, and providing field construction support as needed
Successfully implementing objectives and ensuring all projects meet budgets, client desires, and industry regulations
Guiding less experienced engineers during projects and implementing development programs to support their growth
Communicating regularly with architects and facility owners

APPLY IF YOU MEET THESE QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in mechanical engineering
Professional engineer (PE) license OR currently working towards licensure
5+ years of professional, progressive experience in the US (preferably in the Tri-State area) in designing mechanical or HVAC systems for laboratory or critical care facilities
Experience using load analysis and energy modeling programs (eQUEST, Trane TRACE, ENERGY STAR, Carrier HAP, etc.)
Experience executing and implementing a design project with Autodesk AutoCAD or Revit
Experience in building information modeling (BIM)
Strong knowledge of local, state, and national codes, including NFPA and Joint Meeting
Ability to prepare presentations and explain technical information in simple terms
Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent in-person English communication skills
Collaboration skills
Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship
USGBC LEED rating system knowledge - preferred
