JOB SUMMARY
The Production Supervisor – Second Shift is responsible for overseeing production activities to meet goals for quality, cost, and output. This role prioritizes production schedules, manages team performance, resolves quality and downtime issues, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards. The position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a focus on achieving plant objectives while maintaining positive employee relations.

BS/BA degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management with at least 2 years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
Proven ability to lead and manage production teams while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills (Six Sigma/Lean experience preferred).
Key Responsibilities
Drive department strategies based on plant objectives and guide successful implementation.
Manage second shift production activities while fostering positive working relationships.
Monitor and improve performance metrics for multiple production departments.
Conduct daily cross-functional meetings to prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply.
Collaborate with departments to resolve quality, performance, and downtime issues in a timely manner.
Lead or participate in cost reduction projects to meet production goals.
Support the plant’s change management program to ensure quality, cost, and productivity targets are met.
Provide training to employees on new processes, procedures, or equipment.
Maintain clear communication of priorities to ensure employee focus.
Create and sustain positive employee relations aligned with company values.
Maintain compliance with safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
Lead or assist in investigations to resolve manufacturing issues affecting product or process performance.
Support ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards.
Attend and participate in plant meetings.
Required Qualifications BS/BA degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 2 years of quality, engineering, or operations experience within manufacturing.
At least 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
Demonstrated leadership and track record of results.
Performance Excellence experience (Green Belt certification in DMAIC, 6-Sigma, or Lean preferred).
Strong data analysis skills to interpret and act on performance metrics.
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, electronic document management, and ERP systems .
Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising manual assembly or machining processes.
Strong organizational and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate across cultures and organizational levels.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Knowledge of SAP ERP system.
Certifications
