Our nonprofit client is seeking a dedicated and motivated Development Manager to join their mission-driven team for a hybrid role in Norwood, MA . This role is ideal for someone experienced in fundraising and event management who is passionate about making a meaningful community impact. The organization supports individuals affected by neurodegenerative conditions and leads national efforts in research, care coordination, and public awareness. Responsibilities Lead and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan to reach a $350,000 portfolio goal, including oversight of signature events such as a regional marathon partnership and a large-scale community walk. Recruit, support, and retain volunteer committees and event chairs while developing strong relationships with local partners and sponsors. Manage event logistics, promotional materials, and volunteer coordination in collaboration with internal teams and volunteers. Ensure all fundraising activities operate within defined budget parameters. Collaborate with care teams to involve affected individuals and their families in community engagement and fundraising efforts. Support marketing and communications objectives to enhance event visibility and impact. Maintain regular outreach to corporate sponsors, vendors, donors, and volunteers through in-person meetings, calls, and digital communication. Represent the organization at public events and community engagements. Coordinate printing and distribution of event materials. Provide support to development leadership and team members as needed across the territory. Integrate organizational standards and ensure consistency in event execution. Attend team meetings and regional events as required. Partner cross-functionally with programs and development teams to improve overall fundraising effectiveness. Perform other related duties to support mission-aligned goals. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in fundraising, event coordination, volunteer engagement, public relations, or donor management. Proficiency in managing online fundraising platforms, including reporting and data interpretation. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills across multiple stakeholders; consistent follow-up required. High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with donor databases (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud). Experience with platforms such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Tableau, Greater Giving, and Spekit is a plus. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have access to an insured vehicle for regional travel.
