Job Title: Mammography Technologist Location: Syracuse, NY Duration: 13-Week Contract Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Employment Type: ContractPosition Overview:A leading healthcare facility in Syracuse, NY is seeking a certified Mammography Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing both screening and diagnostic mammograms, with a strong focus on patient care and image quality.Key Responsibilities:Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms in accordance with ACR and MQSA standards.Prepare and position patients properly while ensuring their safety, privacy, and comfort.Operate digital mammography equipment and conduct routine quality control checks.Review physician orders and patient medical history to ensure appropriate procedures.Document exams accurately within EMR/PACS systems.Work closely with radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging and diagnostic accuracy.Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report any technical issues.Comply with radiation safety and infection control protocols.Deliver compassionate, respectful, and professional care to all patients.Qualifications:Education & Certifications:Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.Active ARRT (R) certification.ARRT (M) - Mammography certification required.BLS (Basic Life Support) certification via the American Heart Association.State Radiologic Technologist License (if applicable).Experience:Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in mammography preferred.Experience with digital mammography and PACS/RIS systems is highly desirable.
