Description: This position is within Raleigh Radiology Facilities, a free-standing outpatient imaging center at our Midtown location. The primary function of the registered technologist at Raleigh Radiology is to provide mammographic imaging, diagnostic radiology procedures, and BMD procedures. The technologist is responsible for the coordination of patient care. She/He follows established protocols, policies, procedures, and specific instructions. The technologist is registered in the following modalities: Mammography and Radiography. Rotation through all modalities is required (BMD can be trained).

What You’ll Do Perform ordered diagnostic imaging procedures safely, efficiently, and professionally. Assess patients’ physical and emotional needs, prioritize care, and provide clear instructions before and after procedures. Administer contrast and assist with IV sedation cases. Monitor patients during procedures and respond quickly to any urgent or emergency situations. Maintain accurate documentation, patient histories, and procedure notes. Ensure imaging equipment is well-maintained, clean, and ready for use. Uphold safety and infection control protocols at all times. Support physicians and fellow team members, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment. Educate patients on procedures and aftercare, ensuring they feel informed and comfortable. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE A. Education: Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered in mammography B. Experience: Previous experience in a busy office or hospital is preferred. C. Certification: 1. CPR is required or must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. Continuous certification in CPR is required. 2. Successful completion of the registry for Radiologic Technologists with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists must be achieved within 12 months of employment. RT-R (ARRT) 3. Successful completion of registry in Mammography with ARRT must be achieved within 12 months of employment. RT-R(M)(ARRT) D. Licensure: None IV. DESIRED SKILLS Basic patient care skills, including first-aid and CPR. Excellent technical skills in diagnostic and mammography are required. BMD can be trained. Ability to work independently, make sound decisions based on patient condition, and the ability to follow directions. Flexibility, dependability, and professionalism are required.
