Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment, including conveyor systems, kilns, ovens, and drive systems. This role requires an understanding of gear ratios, schematics, and control wiring. While the majority of the work will be mechanical, electrical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on industrial equipment.
• Handle conveyor systems, kilns, ovens, and drive systems.
• Understand and apply knowledge of gear ratios, schematics, and control wiring.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot and wire in 3-phase 480v motors.
• Interpret schematics to identify N.O & N.C.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations across multiple buildings.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in electrical, schematic, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Experience with preventive maintenance, contactors, relays, control wiring, drives, and motors.
• Understanding of 480v, blueprint, conveyor, AC/DC circuits, 3-phase systems, and sensors.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• PLC experience is a plus, with an understanding of troubleshooting and replacing components.
• Ability to work effectively in a dirty and dusty environment.
• Flexibility to work across multiple buildings within a large facility.

Work Environment

Work in a large facility with multiple buildings, in a non-climate-controlled, dirty, and dusty environment. Shifts include 1st shift from 7am-3pm and 2nd shift from 3pm-11pm, Monday through Friday, with possible extensions and mandatory overtime on weekends.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
