Job Description

AZZ has an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Manager at our St. Louis facility. You will lead, coordinate and assist with the maintenance staff’s conduct of preventive and reactive maintenance required to maximize production.  Maintenance will include and require an understanding of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic principals. A general construction skill set is desired. You will report directly to the Plant Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and assist maintenance staff to conduct preventive and breakdown maintenance as needed to keep machinery and equipment operational and safe.
  • Inspects completed maintenance conducted by maintenance staff and outside vendors to ensure repairs conform to specifications and safety standards.
  • Ensures working condition and availability of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools.
  • Trains new employees in the organization's operating procedures and standards.
  • Counsels employees about work-related issues and assists employees to correct job-skill deficiencies.
  • Monitors employees' work levels and reviews work performance.
Qualifications

  • Electrical and Mechanical knowledge required.
  • Experience with three-phase electricity, motors, cranes, hoists, and forklifts strongly preferred.
  • 5 years related experience preferred.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Industrial Maintenance program completion strongly preferred (will consider partially completed degree programs).

Minimum Education

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
