About the role
As a Machine Operator, you'll be at the heart of our production process, playing a vital role in crafting high-quality wet wipes and related products. This role is perfect for someone who's mechanically inclined, detail-driven, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
What you'll do
- Set up, adjust, and operate Teknoweb converting lines
- Monitor machine performance and make real-time adjustments to ensure consistent product quality
- Conduct regular inspections of finished products and packaging
- Ensure all output meets established specifications and quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and escalate to maintenance or supervisors as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Ensure safe operation of all machinery
- Track usage of production and packaging materials
- Accurately complete production logs, reports, and maintenance records
- Document any deviations or quality concerns
- Notify supervisors of low stock and assist with inventory counts
- Work closely with production leaders, maintenance staff, and quality control teams
- Assist in cross-training new team members to promote versatility and strengthen line performance
- Uphold strong attention to detail in all aspects of production, documentation, and product inspections
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to meeting or exceeding daily production targets
- Support team goals and contribute to a smooth workflow
- Participate in training for new equipment and processes
- Share ideas to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with Teknoweb or similar converting lines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with production machinery and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and manuals, including SOPs.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to product quality.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks as required.
- Problem-solving skills for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed to meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods (8-12 hours)
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and manual handling of materials
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to machinery
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
Education:
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanical systems (preferred)
