LPN Travel Float Nurse for  Tennessee

Shifts can be 6, 8, or 12 hrs in duration and you can choose days, evenings, nights, weekends or holidays. Correctional Nursing is a unique niche for nurses to provide needed care within a safe and controlled environment. SHP is looking for strong skilled nurses to provide quality care on-site, filling open hours within our various correctional medical units. From information gathering, assessments, sick call, and medication passes – you are trained for the duties to be performed.

Duties include, but are not limited to: Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, chart results, establish nursing plans and work under the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines, and Physician/Provider(s) Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards & correctional regulations Follow through with established treatment plans Perform emergency intervention, physical assessment and critical thinking
