You don’t. That's why the Navy relies on Logistics Specialists aboard every vessel to manage the inventory that keeps missions moving forward. From ordering needed supplies in the middle of a hurricane to inspecting incoming cargo from across the world, Logistics Specialists keep it all running.RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Logistics Specialist (LS), your efforts are crucial in delivering what the Navy needs for mission success. They generally divide time between assignments ashore and afloat.PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIESThe role above is an Active Duty opportunity in the Navy, however there are part-time roles available. Serving part−time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Logistics Specialists in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.
