GENERAL FUNCTION: Sitting within Business Controls and reporting to the Business Information Security Officer (BISO) Manager, the Line of Business (LOB) BISO provides an additional layer of defense through education and strategic mitigation of information security risk. The Front Line LOB BISO bridges the gap between business leaders and Information Security (IS) by providing consultation to business teams on information security matters based on the company's risk tolerance and requirements. Consulting is prioritized daily based on security concerns and strategic initiatives. Leveraging information security policies, standards, and procedures, the LOB BISO is a critical resource to help remove business process barriers caused by IS requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Leadership Work collaboratively with business leaders, risk partners, and other internal groups to balance risk management with business initiatives, regulations, and customer experience. Participate in cross-functional discussions to identify process improvement opportunities and ensure consistency across lines of business. Help develop and implement consistent LOB BISO processes, contribute to risk mitigation measures, and support IS policies and initiatives. Facilitate issue research and root cause analysis with LOB partners to resolve issues or present solutions to the BISO manager. Participate in Information Security councils and working groups as appropriate. Advise and Consult LOB on Information Security Risks Promote Security Awareness communications and educate LOB as appropriate. Provide guidance to ensure compliance with IS requirements and navigate business process challenges. Assist with business process challenges related to IS, such as sharing confidential data externally. Approve high-risk IS processes, such as elevated access requests, with business justifications. Liaison Between LOB and IS Serve as the point of contact for information security concerns within LOBs. Identify LOB representatives for impact assessments of IS policies and projects. Provide input on IS process changes affecting the end user and enterprise communications. Partner with IS Information Protection on data strategies. Reinforce communication of IS policies and requirements. Identify opportunities for Security Awareness training and education. Key Risk Indicator (KRI) Monitoring, Review, and Reporting Report KRI results, analyze trends, and share improvement opportunities. Drive Phishing and DLP incident awareness and accountability. Provide input on IS-related KRIs and metrics for LOBs.
