Our client, a highly regarded AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Special Counsel Attorney to join their dynamic Litigation Department in support of their Construction Practice Group (link removed) This full-time, non-partner-track role is available in the firms Miami , Orlando , or Tampa offices and is ideal for an experienced litigation attorney who thrives in a high-volume, independent work environment and is looking to focus on construction-related disputes, arbitration, and insurance litigation.
Candidate Profile:
JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record (link removed)>
Active Bar Admission in Florida , in good standing.
27 years of substantive litigation experience, ideally including arbitration and mediation (link removed)>
Demonstrated experience conducting discovery , drafting and arguing motions in court , and handling depositions (link removed)>
Familiarity with construction and design defect litigation , insurance claims , and related areas is highly desirable (link removed)>
Proven success in case resolution , including settlements (link removed)>
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Experience supervising paralegals and legal support teams is a plus (link removed)>
Soft Skills: research, persuasive writing, time management, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of construction-related litigation matters , with an emphasis on arbitration proceedings (link removed)>
Draft legal documents , including motions, memoranda, pleadings, and discovery responses.
Represent clients in mediations , arbitrations , and court hearings (link removed)>
Coordinate closely with supervising attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient and effective resolution of disputes (link removed)>
Support the Construction Practice Group in handling claims related to insurance , construction defects , design disputes , and contract performance (link removed)>
Oversee and direct paralegals and support staff in case preparation and document management.

Compensation & Benefits:</h3> Compensation : The expected salary range for this position is $130,000$140,000 , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
