A well-established law firm based in Florham Park, NJ is actively seeking a Litigation Associate to join its legal team, focusing primarily on medical malpractice defense. Duties: Draft and prepare legal motions and responsive pleadings for medical malpractice defense cases Conduct thorough legal research and analysis across a variety of litigation issues Represent clients at court hearings, conferences, and trials Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, and conduct depositions independently Collaborate closely with senior attorneys on multi-faceted litigation matters Manage case files, deadlines, and procedural requirements in line with court rules Support strategy development and participate in settlement negotiations where appropriate Requirements: Demonstrated experience or strong interest in litigation, preferably in healthcare or malpractice defense Proficient in preparing legal documentation, motions, and research memoranda Capable of handling depositions, client interactions, and court appearances with professionalism Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal setting Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Active license to practice law in the state of New Jersey (required) Skills: Legal research and writing Case strategy and litigation support Deposition and trial preparation Client advocacy and professional judgment Team collaboration and independent problem-solving Job Location: Company info BCG Attorney Search
