We are currently seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician or skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team. We value individuals who embody the following qualities: Energetic Positive and upbeat personality Self-driven and takes initiative Committed to the clinic's success Punctual and reliable Willing to teach and share ideas Open and respectful of diversity Adaptable to change Accountable and responsible Able to see the bigger picture Requirements: Candidates should possess: Prior experience or training in a veterinary setting Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor Excellent communication abilities Capability to perform front office duties and proficiency in telephone and computer skills A teamwork spirit, eager to learn new techniques and adaptable to change Medical Skills Required: Phlebotomy IV catheter placement Animal preparation and restraint during procedures Anesthetic induction and monitoring Assisting with various procedures Suturing cutaneous and subcutaneous tissues Applying bandages and splints Wound care management Utilizing a stethoscope and otoscope Providing pet owners with proper care advice Key Responsibilities: Foster excellent relationships with clients and pets in the reception area and exam rooms Exceed client expectations in service delivery Deliver compassionate nursing care as the highest priority Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the clinic Conduct cursory examinations of animals Identify potential patient issues and communicate findings effectively to the doctor Maintain accurate record-keeping Prepare and dispense prescribed medications Education and Physical Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Dependable attendance is a must Ability to lift up to 40 pounds Willingness to work varied hours, including potential long shifts Physical capability to walk, bend, stand, squat, and reach throughout a minimum 8-hour day Benefits: A structured 5/8 work schedule (Monday through Friday) with options for full-time employees Paid vacation and holidays for full-time employees Competitive compensation Monthly bonuses based on clinic dietary sales for full-time employees Medical, dental, vision, and flexible spending benefit options for full-time employees Additional voluntary benefits including accident, critical illness, and hospital indemnity 401K with employer match Continuing Education opportunities Uniforms provided Discounts on services and medications for employee pets *Some travel may be required.
