Burk 1 is a dynamic 40-bed unit that provides comprehensive skilled nursing and post-acute care services to patients recovering from medical, surgical, and complex conditions. The interdisciplinary team on Burk 1 focuses on patient-centered care, promoting functional recovery, and preparing patients for a safe transition home or to the next level of care. This unit offers a supportive environment where collaboration, compassion, and professional growth are encouraged daily. Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) utilizes a general understanding of nursing principles and basic physical assessment skills in the development and implementation of individualized nursing care plans to ensure that the needs of the residents are met. The LPN supports the daily operations of the unit, provides direct patient care, and assumes leadership responsibilities as needed to ensure quality outcomes and excellent patient experiences. New Pay Rates – Effective September 2025 Competitive base pay with enhanced LPN rates

Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate’s degree (2 years college) or knowledge of a specialized field
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (diploma)
Less than one year of experience required; related experience preferred
Current License for Practical Nursing (Maryland or Compact)
AHA CPR Certification required
Basic computer skills
Technical proficiency with: Synquest, IV Pump, Phillips Monitoring System, Accucheck, EKG Machine, and Specialty Bed Operation
