Salary: $50-55 Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, team-orientedLicensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide community-based, person-centered behavioral health services under the Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (MHRS) program in Washington, D.C. The LCSW will deliver rehabilitative and clinical support services to individuals with mental health diagnoses, in accordance with DBH regulations, under the supervision of a licensed independent clinician (LICSW).
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services Provide psychosocial assessments, individual and group counseling, and skill-building interventions under clinical supervision. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the client and clinical team. Facilitate evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT skills, psychoeducation) within the MHRS framework.
Rehabilitative Services Deliver community support services, including life skills training, symptom monitoring, and crisis intervention. Support clients in achieving goals related to housing stability, employment, and independent living. Conduct home visits and community-based sessions as needed.
Case Management Coordinate care across systems (e.g., primary care, schools, housing, probation). Provide referrals to community-based resources and follow up to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Compliance & Team Participation Participate in clinical supervision, case conferences, and staff development meetings. Comply with DBH MHRS documentation standards and ethical guidelines of the social work profession. Assist in quality assurance, performance improvement, and program evaluation efforts.
Qualifications: Education:Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited institution. Licensure:ActiveLCSW licensein the District of Columbia. Experience:12 years of experience in mental health, community services, or related fields preferred (internships count). Skills: Knowledge of DSM-5, trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing Strong written/verbal communication and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse populations Familiarity with MHRS regulations and documentation standards is a plus
Work Conditions & Requirements: Must have a valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation for community visits. Position may require evening/weekend hours.
