Backus Hospital, a cornerstone of healthcare services in Eastern Connecticut for over 118 years, is looking for a dedicated Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician. As the only provider of trauma services in New London and Windham counties, we focus on delivering high-quality, coordinated patient care. Job Summary: The Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based clinical services throughout the continuum of care. You will maintain the highest ethical standards and professional practice to support adult patients in the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments and develop tailored care plans. Provide direct patient care including case management, crisis intervention, counseling, and emotional support to patients and families. Refer patients to appropriate care levels and resources, promoting an individualized care approach. Maintain timely, patient-centered documentation in compliance with regulations and agency standards. Deliver social work interventions effectively across diverse patient populations. Offer field supervision to social work students during their second year. Sign-On Bonus: Fully licensed clinicians are eligible for a sign-on bonus if they meet program guidelines. Qualifications: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related Human Services field. Prior experience in a healthcare setting. Connecticut LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LADC license is required. Valid Driver's License. Ability to promptly assess problems and make timely decisions. Demonstrated knowledge and behaviors to meet the specific needs of patients. Cultural competence required to understand and integrate the diverse values and systems of different client groups into practice.
