Litigation Assistant/Paralegal

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA

Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Job Type: Contract to Hire, Full-Time, Onsite

We are seeking a skilled Litigation Assistant/Paralegal with at least 2+ years of experience in insurance defense, labor/employment, and/or general civil litigation defense to join a boutique firm in their Downtown Los Angeles Office. This is an onsite position offering a contract-to-hire opportunity with a dynamic and fast-paced legal team.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and analyze documentary evidence, including medical records, reports, depositions, discovery, and investigative documents.
Prepare case chronologies and summaries.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, correspondence, and reports.
Manage subpoenas, requests for information, and document productions.
Conduct legal research and investigations, including social media and internet research.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
Monitor case files, ensuring deadlines are met and escalating issues as needed.
Handle sensitive case-related materials with discretion and professionalism.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant handling insurance defense, labor/employment, and/or general civil litigation defense matters .
Experience managing subpoenas and discovery responses .
Strong proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel .
Excellent critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
High School Diploma or equivalent required ; Paralegal certificate is a plus .

Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
