What are your contributions to the team?
As a Leader, Operations at Bombardier, reporting to the General Manager, you are responsible for managing unionized employees. Your role requires acting as a coach and a communicator. Establish work assignments for subordinates.
Conduct required meetings on schedule in accordance with scheduled guidelines.
Enforce company rules and regulations and attendance policy.
Enforce, interpret, and correctly apply the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
Perform supervisory responsibilities, for example, hire/fire, disciplinary actions, counseling sessions, proper issuance of disciplinary actions including terminations, and professional development.
Analyze work status in order to determine if production schedule and quality guidelines will be met.
Create recovery plans/corrective actions when necessary.
Coordinate cross functionally to support the success of the schedule.
Ensure financial goals and objectives set by department are met and adhered to
Ensure staffing is consistent with budgetary and production requirements.
Responsible to ensure that errors within FDC are corrected and employees are paid correctly, including maintenance of overtime equalization per the union contract.
Ensure employees receive proper training on company equipment as required by Company and OSHA requirements.
Analyze and diagnose equipment problems/malfunctions to expedite corrective procedures and to prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
Incorporate required revisions to products or processes as necessary.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge & experience :
You have a minimum of 4 years of Manufacturing experience.
You have a minimum of 3 years leadership / Supervisory or Lead experience.
You have Interpersonal skills necessary to develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, all levels of management team, and other departments.
You demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people and build a strong team.
You have strong Verbal and written communications skills.
You have training skills necessary to provide employee training.
You have planning and organization skills necessary to plan, prioritize and coordinate workload of assigned employees within a multiple project setting.
You have union experience (preferred).
You have control of Budget.
