Lead Designer
As a Lead Designer on the Growth team, you will drive design strategy and execution across key initiatives focused on helping teams gain momentum and showing the value of Slack. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional partners to create intuitive experiences that help teams unlock value and make users engaged.
Key responsibilities include :
Leading design efforts for strategic growth initiatives, working closely with product and engineering partners
Driving the influence of design within specific product areas and projects on the roadmap
Providing detailed feedback and bringing work to readiness through design reviews
Partnering effectively with content designers to create clear, accessible, and delightful experiences for users
Mentoring team members and offering peer design guidance
Required skills and experience include :
A strong track record of leading design for complex, data-driven product experiences
Experience designing for product-led growth and user activation
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners including product, engineering, and analytics
Strong systems thinking and ability to design scalable solutions
Experience mentoring other designers and providing constructive feedback
You'll work closely with :
Product Management to define and execute on strategic initiatives
Engineering to ensure technical feasibility and quality implementation
Content Design to create clear, intuitive user experiences
Analytics to measure impact and inform design decisions
Impact areas include :
Helping new teams gain momentum and find value in their first week
Driving improvements to core product experiences
Contributing to design system improvements and standards
Supporting team growth through mentorship and feedback
Growth opportunities include :
Leading strategic design initiatives across the Growth pillar
Developing expertise in product-led growth and user activation
Building strong partnerships across product, engineering, and design
Shaping the future of how teams collaborate in Slack
