Location: Chicago, Illinois Experience Level: 4–7 Years Preferred Practice Area: Labor & Employment Law Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with offices across the United States, is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate to join its Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of employment law matters within a collaborative and high-performing team, serving clients in diverse industries.
About the Role: The attorney will manage complex employment litigation matters and counsel clients on a full spectrum of workplace law issues. The position offers significant hands-on responsibility, including client interaction, strategic case management, and opportunities for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities: Handle employment litigation from inception to resolution, including depositions and case management with oversight
Draft pleadings, discovery, and dispositive motions
Provide day-to-day counseling on compliance, risk management, and employee relations matters
Advise clients on Illinois-specific employment law issues
Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations
Qualifications: 4–7 years of labor and employment law experience preferred
Active Illinois Bar license in good standing
Significant experience in employment litigation, including managing cases and handling depositions
Strong counseling experience on employment law compliance and workplace policies
Excellent academic credentials, legal research, and writing skills
Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment and deliver strategic, client-focused solutions
Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary in the range of $240,000–$260,000 , commensurate with qualifications and experience
