Our ideal candidate is a compassionate educator who fosters a love of learning and creates a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for young students. This role involves planning and delivering effective lessons in core subjects, nurturing each student's academic, social, and emotional growth, and collaborating with colleagues and parents to support student success. The qualified candidate should hold or be eligible for a valid Missouri Certificate in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement age-appropriate, engaging lessons in core subjects (e.g., math, reading, science, social studies) that align with state and school curriculum standards. Establish and maintain a positive, structured learning environment by using proactive behavior management techniques that promote respect, cooperation, and safety. Regularly assess students through various methods (quizzes, projects, observations) to track progress and ensure mastery of key skills. Provide constructive feedback and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students, including those with special needs, gifted students, and English language learners, can succeed and thrive. Work with fellow teachers, specialists, and school staff to align curriculum, share best practices, and support each student's learning journey. Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to share student progress, address concerns, and foster a positive home-school partnership. Support students' social, emotional, and ethical growth through activities that build critical thinking, creativity, empathy, and teamwork. Integrate technology and multimedia tools to enhance learning experiences and keep students engaged.
