Antitrust Associate Attorney – Washington, DC Direct Counsel is seeking an Antitrust Associate to join a leading Am Law 100 law firm with a strong national and international presence. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters alongside experienced practitioners in the field. About the Antitrust Practice The Antitrust team provides strategic counseling, litigation, and representation before federal antitrust agencies, with deep expertise across numerous industries. Associates in this practice take on substantial responsibility, working directly with clients and contributing to all aspects of case and transaction strategy. Responsibilities Support M&A transactions, including merger reviews and second requests

Represent third parties before the Antitrust Division and the Federal Trade Commission

Contribute to litigation matters and other antitrust enforcement or advisory work

Draft and review legal documents, conduct research, and provide strategic analysis

Collaborate closely with team members and maintain strong client relationships

Qualifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school

Admitted or eligible for admission in Washington, DC

1–2 years of substantive antitrust experience

Strong grasp of U.S. antitrust laws and enforcement processes

Professionalism and skill in client interactions

Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail

Effective collaboration skills in team-oriented environments

Work Arrangement This position follows a hybrid model, requiring approximately 60% in-office presence in accordance with firm guidelines. Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $225,000 – $235,000
