Job SummaryLead Cargo Agent organizes warehouse and storage facilities; arranges warehouse handling equipment and loads/unloads air cargo, while maintaining the required safety and quality standards as well as comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and company policies.The expected pay rate is $21.50/hr. Location: JFK Building 9Your activitiesEnsure that financial targets are met in line with the operational planEstablish and maintain a high quality standard in the cargo operation; ensure that work flows are constantly improved to cope with competitive requirements.Ensure that all subcontracted cargo services providers are closely supervisedEnsure price increasesMaintain close and effective business relationships with customer airline’s management.Maintain a good working relationship with the various control authorities such as Airport Management, Customs, Immigration, etc.Identify root causes of problems and institute corrective actionsGenerate detailed reports and summaries of operationsResponsibilities include but are not limited to operational performanceEnsure effective planning methods and procedures are in place and that there are adequate resources, both manpower and equipment, to meet operational requirementsOversee and manage employee performance as well as implement required trainingYour profileHigh School Diploma or equivalent3-5 years industry experience3 years managerial / supervisory experienceAbility to work in a team environment -Ability to deal with conflictExcellent organizational and planning skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeTechnical knowledge of equipment and systemsAbility to work under pressureCustomer focus and quality awarenessMust be able to work in inclement weatherWhat we offer401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceAt Swissport, we believe in diversity, equal opportunity, and the power of our values to drive our success.
