Position Overview The Intake Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire intake process for new clients, from initial contact to service commencement. This role requires a deep understanding of homecare services, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate effectively with various departments and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of potential clients to determine their care needs and eligibility for services Develop and maintain relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, social workers, and community organizations Collaborate with the clinical team to create personalized care plans based on client assessments Coordinate with scheduling and staffing departments to ensure appropriate caregiver assignments Oversee the collection and verification of all necessary documentation, including medical records, insurance information, and consent forms Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA and state-specific homecare requirements Provide guidance and support to intake staff, including training and performance evaluations Monitor and analyze intake metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements Serve as a liaison between clients, their families, and the organization to address any concerns or questions during the intake process Participate in quality assurance initiatives to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for attracting new clients and expanding service offerings Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the homecare sector

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) Minimum of 5 years of experience in homecare or healthcare settings, with at least 3 years in a leadership role Proven track record as an Intake Director or similar position in a homecare agency In-depth knowledge of homecare regulations, standards, and best practices Strong understanding of medical terminology, care planning, and assessment techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and internal team members Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office suite Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage
