Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Network Engineer) Location: Hybrid (Fort Mill, SC) Contract
Job Description: Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer specializing in observability to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with vendor-agnostic networking equipment and a strong focus on observability to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our network infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and maintain observability solutions to monitor network performance, availability, and reliability. Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and metrics to provide visibility into network operations and health. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network observability with other systems and applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on network and observability practices.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in managing diverse network infrastructure in a production environment. Strong understanding of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar. Familiarity with network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Knowledge of network automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar. CCNP Data Center certification preferred
