Job Title: Independent Medical Evaluators - Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Orthopedic Specialists Company Overview: MRG Exams is a premier provider of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings (PPIR) for the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC), third-party administrators, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and employers. We are seeking dedicated and board-certified MDs or DOs in Occupational Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehab, or Orthopedics to join our team as Independent Medical Evaluators. Job Description: As an IME Specialist, you will play a crucial role in conducting comprehensive medical assessments, evaluating for permanent partial impairment, and offering objective opinions in narrative reports to facilitate claims adjudication and case management processes. While training will be provided, prior experience or a strong willingness to learn is essential. Travel within Ohio might be required, and candidates already on the BWC's Disability Evaluators Panel are especially encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough medical evaluations and assessments according to Ohio BWC guidelines and regulations. Accurately and objectively perform Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings using the 5th Edition AMA Guidelines. Document findings and create clear, concise reports within established timelines. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service to our clients. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities. Represent the company with professionalism and integrity in all interactions.
