Title: HR Generalist Reports to: Human Resources Manager FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary of Position
Fortune International is seeking a skilled HR Generalist with exceptional analytical and communication abilities. The initial focus of this role will be leading and managing the recruiting function for Fortune East. You will proactively oversee the full recruitment lifecycle from identifying passive and active candidates, through screening, to onboarding new employees.
You must be able to build and leverage sourcing networks to fill hourly (non-union), exempt, and non-exempt roles across all areas of the business, including operations, logistics, sales, marketing, technology, and finance.
As the HR subject matter expert, you will provide guidance and strategic advice to all levels of management as they fill open and newly created positions to strengthen and upgrade their teams. Beyond recruitment, you will contribute to the full scope of HR responsibilities, including: Benefits Administration Employee Coaching and Development OSHA reporting FMLA administration Workers' Compensation Unemployment claims Wellness program initiatives With 2-4 years of HR Generalist experience, you will have the opportunity to expand your expertise and grow your career by taking on broader HR responsibilities. Responsibilities Partner with managers to understand job requirements, duties, and desired qualifications for open positions. Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) in ADP and oversee job postings, sourcing, and passive recruitment efforts. Manage all status updates, changes and reporting in ADP Workforce Now. Establish and maintain targeted sourcing networks, including: Local universities Culinary schools Professional and industry-specific networking groups on social media
Screen and qualify candidates, coordinate interviews, and connect viable candidates with hiring managers. Ensure compliance with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations. Administer and manage Workers' Compensation, FMLA, Unemployment processing, and OSHA reporting. Provide coaching and support to managers and employees to enhance employee relations. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field required. Two to four years of HR Generalist experience, including at least one year in recruiting. Experience with ADP Workforce Now required . SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. Strong knowledge of EEO, ADA, FMLA, and other related employment laws and guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual skills Spanish desired but not required.

Salary Information: In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is $80k-$100k (USD). This salary range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, or other items.
