Human Capital Management Senior Analyst

The Ohio Department of Health's Office of Human Resources is seeking two Senior Human Capital Management Analysts to coordinate advanced HR sub-programs including class plan compliance and position management for designated program areas. These positions will:

  • create, fill and manage position vacancies
  • analyze and evaluate position activity and provide technical assistance to managers regarding personnel needs (e.g., classification analysis, conducting employment interviews, writing job postings, selection procedures, employment processing, developing job standards)
  • meet with bureau managers to address manpower needs, employee selection/staffing and reorganization directives independently review, analyze, write and approve position descriptions in accordance with policies, procedure and directives
  • compose, process and enter personnel actions into HR IT system (OAKS)
  • write, review and proofread job postings and job announcements and/or advertisements, using office software and HRIT systems/software (OHMS)
  • screen and evaluate applications in accordance with applicable rules and regulations and/or labor contacts (e.g., posted qualifications, ESP assessment criteria, seniority)

Qualifications: 3 yrs. exp. in human resources. -Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources, business or public administration; 12 mos. exp. in human resources. -Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Analyst, 64612. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 12, Step 1 of the exempt Pay Range Schedule ($32.35 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($34.18 per hour) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
