Job Description
The role of a caregiver at Golden Care is to provide high-quality, non-medical care and support services to clients, delivering care with professionalism, empathy, compassion, kindness, and in a respectful manner. Some caregiver duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Providing clients with Alzheimer's/Dementia or related behaviors (i.e., wandering, paranoia) a safe and secure environment by monitoring their health and safety, as it is a priority.
- Assist clients with all their ADL's (Activities of Daily Living) in accordance with individualized care plans (i.e., personal hygiene assistance oral care, grooming, toileting, continence care, bathing, dressing, etc.)
- Light housekeeping, laundry, and organizing to maintain a clean-living environment.
- Meal preparation and assist with feeding if needed.
- Transferring & Ambulation provide safety, stability, and support while client is mobile and during transfers.
- Transportation (i.e., appointments, grocery shopping, errands, outings, etc.)
Requirements Needed To Apply
MUST have at least 3 months of professional experience working as a caregiver; MUST be, or willing to register as a California Home Care Aide (HCA); MUST be able to clear a criminal background check by the DOJ/FBI; MUST have a current Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (or willingness to complete one); MUST obtain a valid Driver's License and a reliable vehicle; MUST be 18 years of age or older; MUST be able to provide 2 forms of ID such as a Driver's license, social security, Passport, and or Birth certificate.
Responsibilities
- Follow clients' provided plan of care, safety precautions, and procedures.
- Monitor, observe, and report suspected concerns or change of clients' condition or health status to a supervisor or the appropriate parties immediately.
- Communicate effectively and respond to all forms of communication from the office in a timely manner.

- MUST have a passion and the desire to help others improve the quality of life, while maintaining clients' self-respect, dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
- MUST be comfortable using a smartphone for basic communication and care documentation.
