GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY

The Mechanic is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs on AIS Infrastructure's construction and industrial equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliable operation and optimal performance of the equipment. The Mechanic must possess a strong knowledge of mechanical systems and adhere to AIS Infrastructure's safety standards and protocols.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on construction and industrial equipment.
Conduct preventive maintenance activities to identify and address potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system problems.
Replace faulty parts and components, ensuring proper installation and calibration.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts inventory.

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical drawings.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or training in mechanical or automotive technology is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic in the construction or industrial sector.
Knowledge of construction equipment, such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and cranes.
Familiarity with diagnostic software and computerized systems is a plus.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

Work primarily in a maintenance shop or field environment.
Potential hazards include working around heavy machinery, exposure to loud noises, and working at heights.
Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting heavy objects, and working in various weather conditions.
Flexible work schedule may be required, including weekends and evenings.
Travel to job sites may be necessary.

Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance and repair procedures.
Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic tools and software.
