Position Description Job Summary: The GPR Area Manager leads and manages regional operations for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and concrete imaging services. This role is responsible for business development, operational performance, team leadership, customer satisfaction, and field execution across a designated territory. The GPR Area Manager will partner closely with sales, safety, and compliance teams to drive growth, ensure technical excellence, and maintain regulatory and company standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Lead daily field and business operations across multiple GPR projects and teams within the assigned region. Manage P&L responsibility for the area, including budgeting, forecasting, and expense control. Supervise and mentor GPR Analysts and Technicians, including hiring, performance management, training, and career development. Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, safe, and accurate scanning services to clients. Coordinate scheduling, staffing, equipment utilization, and logistics to optimize efficiency and project delivery. Collaborate with the sales team to expand service offerings, win new business, and support key customer relationships. Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable federal and state regulations. Conduct job site audits and field visits to monitor quality, performance, and safety practices. Provide technical guidance and resolve field or customer issues as needed. Partner with the Compliance Manager and Radiation Safety Officer on radiological safety, audits, and licensing requirements as applicable. Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. And other duties as assigned by your manager. Position Requirements Required Skills and Abilities: • Strong leadership and team development skills. • Operational and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and drive profitability. • Customer service orientation with strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities. • Ability to troubleshoot technical challenges and provide field guidance. • Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) and GPR equipment and applications. • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and NRC regulations related to GPR and radiation safety (preferred). Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Minimum 3–5 years of GPR or related field experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role. • Prior experience managing teams in field service, construction, or industrial settings. • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned territory. Physical Requirements: • Regular field visits to job sites with exposure to weather and construction environments. • Ability to walk, stand, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs. • May require flexible hours, travel, and on-call availability based on operational needs.
