RESPONSIBILITIES
:
The Global Operations Program Manager's responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Capacity Management
Execute on the global multi-site capacity strategy that supports financial, technical and schedule objectives while supporting our customers' requirements.
Forecast demand for resources (people, equipment, materials, facilities etc.) based on project requirements and organizational objectives.
Monitor global resource utilization and identify opportunities to optimize capacity
Reporting & Communication
Report on capacity and status plans internally.
Communicate project issues and risks promptly along with mitigation strategies and action plans, to ensure transparency and proactive problem solving.
Prepare and deliver reports to leadership related to challenges, opportunities and recommendations for strategic decision making.
Develop and maintain reporting tools and systems to track project performance metrics (Ie budget adherence, resource utilization, schedule adherence) communicate these insights to relevant stakeholders.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work across many functional teams such as engineering, product management, finance, product marketing, and sales to ensure project requirements are understood and solutions are developed effectively.
Partner closely with Operations Leaders, Program Managers, and peer engineering teams to drive vision and deliver our customer needs, including performance, efficiency, scale, and functionality
Travel to Asia on a frequent basis to work with Amphenol manufacturing locations.
Infrastructure and Investment Advising
Identify potential risks and challenges associated with infrastructure projects and develop mitigation strategies.
Evaluate the performance of infrastructure investments against predefined objectives and KPIs and make recommendations for adjustments in order to optimize outcomes.
Stakeholder Management and Customer Support
Engage with external stakeholders, including Tier 1 OEM customers
Maintain visibility of end customer adoption of next generation interconnect products, advise internal teams on how to support end customer goals.
Develop and maintain communication channels to keep stakeholders informed about progress, changes and decisions.
Gather feedback from stakeholders with respect to performance, outcomes and areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or equivalent experience in Data Analytics Science / Engineering with PMP certification
Frequent Travel to Asia – fluency in Mandarin an asset
7+ years of technical program management, operations management or product management
Experience in capacity management, supply-chain planning or similar.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to document requirements.
Strong Analytics and data analysis skills (Advanced Excel)
Excellent project management skills
Experience project managing functional/operational requirements through Product Engineering, Finance & Business Operations
Ability to prioritize and able to deal with ambiguity effectively while being a strong teammate.
