9 am 5 pm (40 hrs. a week)

Salary:40-45/hr. Based on Experience, plus Health Insurance, 401K

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Housekeeper/Cook to join our household in New York City. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized home environment and preparing delicious, nutritious meals for the household members.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping:

Clean and maintain all areas of the home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, and other common spaces.

Perform regular deep cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and polishing furniture.

Manage laundry duties: ironing, folding, and organizing clothes and linens.

Ensure that household supplies are stocked and notify the Household Manager/Employer when items need to be replenished.

Cooking:

Prepare and cook meals according to the dietary preferences and requirements of the household members.

Plan weekly menus and shop for groceries and kitchen supplies.

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including proper storage and inventory of food items.

Prepare meals for special occasions, events, and gatherings as needed.

Other Duties:

Assist with other household tasks and errands as requested by the Household Manager/Employer.

Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the home.

Adhere to all household protocols and maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.

Full care of dog feeding, walking, bathing, groomer and vet appointments

Coordinate with contractors, repair persons, building super and workers

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a housekeeper and cook in a private household or similar setting.

Strong cooking skills with the ability to prepare a variety of meals

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Valid drivers license, clean driving record

oWill occasionally need to drive family car, collect/return to garage
