Engineering culture This startup maintains a high-intensity, in-person engineering environment. Engineers own projects end-to-end, work closely with the founders, and operate at startup speed. Expect some nights and weekends, 6070+ hour weeks, and rapid iteration cycles.

Role summary We are hiring exceptional Full Stack Engineers with a backend focus to design, develop, and ship production-ready features. The role requires strong problem-solving ability, systems thinking, and comfort working long hours in an in-person, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Architect, develop, and deploy full stack solutions with emphasis on backend systems

Collaborate directly with founders to define and deliver product requirements

Own projects from 01, ensuring scalability, security, and performance

Improve system architecture and engineering processes across the team

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code

Must-have qualifications 3-9 years of full stack or backend engineering experience (exceptional new grads considered)

Strong proficiency with JavaScript / TypeScript, Node.js, and SQL

Proven experience taking products from concept to launch (01 experience)

Exceptional problem-solving skills and architectural thinking

Ability to work 6070+ hours/week in-person in NYC

Highly ambitious with excellent communication skills

Preferred qualifications Experience in fast-paced startup environments

Background in fintech or payment systems

Strong systems design skills

Previous experience in small, high-caliber engineering teams
