Food Service/School Bus Monitor Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is dedicated to creating a safe and nurturing environment for our students. The Food Service/School Bus Monitor will be responsible for assisting the food service operations and ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transportation. This dual role requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing a positive experience for students. Key Responsibilities Food Service Duties: Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food service area. Follow safety and sanitation guidelines in food handling. Support dietary needs and accommodate special requests. School Bus Monitoring Duties: Supervise students during transit to ensure safety and order. Assist with loading and unloading students safely. Monitor student behavior and address any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and bus drivers. Verify student use of seat belts and assist with securing or removing belts. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in food service or working with children is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in various situations. Basic knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred.
