Sous Chef Role Summary \ As a key member of our culinary team, we seek a skilled Sous Chef to supervise scheduling, training, and discipline of all culinary and utility staff. In the absence of the Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, including staffing, food production, utility management, and sanitation. \ Key Responsibilities \ \ Manage daily kitchen production and food preparation for timely service of resident meals \ Direct preparation and service of all menu items, adhering to recipes, proper food handling, food safety, quality, dietary restrictions, and production forecasts \ Oversee organization and sanitation of dining rooms, kitchen, storage areas, and loading docks \ Supervise and coach culinary and utility staff members to ensure seamless kitchen operations \ Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction \ Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient food service and minimize waste \ Stay up-to-date with new recipes, cooking techniques, and industry trends to enhance menu offerings \ Contribute to a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open communication, and respect among colleagues \ Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and company policies \ Develop and implement effective strategies to improve kitchen efficiency, productivity, and profitability \ Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to resident concerns and feedback \ Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance culinary skills and knowledge \ Assist with inventory management, ordering, and receiving supplies \ Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or Executive Director \
