As a substitute paraprofessional, you will support classroom teachers in fostering a productive learning environment for students, particularly those with special needs. Your role will be essential in promoting both academic and personal growth for students. Key Responsibilities: Assist individual students or small groups with instructional reinforcement to enhance learning. Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive classroom environment. Support teachers with administrative tasks, including preparing materials and setting up equipment. Supervise students during lunch, recess, field trips, and various school activities. Attend to the physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs of students. Follow Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans to support students with special needs. Carry out additional tasks as directed by the teacher or school administration. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Strong proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Compensation: $13-$22/hr
