Position Overview:
A & Associates is actively seeking a reliable and hardworking Janitorial/Custodian Technician to support our facilities maintenance team. This role requires hands-on experience in commercial cleaning and floor care, including buffing and waxing. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, maintain a clean and safe environment, and be able to operate independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and deep cleaning of facilities, including restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment
- Buff and wax floors to company and client standards
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report repairs or replacements as needed
- Collect and dispose of trash and recycling in compliance with safety regulations
- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies and toiletries
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of janitorial or custodial experience required
- Demonstrated experience in buffing and waxing floors
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent work ethic, dependability, and communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening, if required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
