Job Description
Our client is seeking a field superintendent who would primarily be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction activities on job sites. Most of the duties include but are not limited to communicating with project foremen, ensuring that work is completed according to project plans, schedules, and safety standards, which includes managing foremen subcontractors, coordinating material deliveries, quality control checks, and resolving issues that arise on the field while reporting directly to the project manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing crews and subcontractors:
Assigning tasks to workers, foremen, and subcontractors, monitoring their performance, and addressing any labor-related problems.
Enforcing safety protocols:
Ensuring all workers follow safety procedures, identifying potential hazards, and addressing safety concerns immediately.
Quality control:
Inspecting work in progress to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
Schedule management:
Monitoring project progress against the established schedule, identifying potential delays, and implementing corrective actions.
Material coordination:
Ordering and managing the delivery of materials to the site, ensuring timely availability and proper storage.
Site logistics:
Coordinating equipment usage, access, and movement on the construction site.
Problem-solving:
Identifying and resolving issues that arise during construction, including technical challenges, conflicts with subcontractors, or weather-related delays.
Communication:
Maintaining open communication with the project manager, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, providing regular progress updates.
Documentation:
Maintaining detailed records of daily activities, progress reports, and any non-compliance issues.
Budget monitoring:
Tracking project costs and identifying potential cost overruns
