We are actively seeking a Financial Transactions Attorney located anywhere in the San Francisco area with the following qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, including ISDAs, and guarantees. Substantive knowledge of federal and state energy regulations, including FERC, NERC, EPA, and state public utility commissions preferred. Experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. JD Degree from an accredited institution. Active bar license in good standing in the state in which you currently reside. Epiq Counsel partners with industry-leading clients in support of their sophisticated interim talent needs. Must be interested in practicing in an alternative, fixed-term legal services model. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with environmental law and regulations. Familiarity with renewable energy incentives, tax credits, and funding mechanisms. Support our multinational corporate clients on the following: Dynamic project work that varies in length and is conducted remotely or on-site depending on client needs. Provide expert legal advice on regulatory matters related to oil, gas, solar, and clean energy projects. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local energy regulations and policies. Represent the company in regulatory proceedings, hearings, and negotiations with regulatory agencies. Monitor and analyze regulatory developments and legislative changes affecting the energy sector. Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to energy projects. Collaborate with internal teams, including project development, operations, and finance, to support regulatory and compliance initiatives. Advise on environmental regulations and compliance related to energy projects. Participate in industry associations and advocacy groups to influence policy and regulatory outcomes.
