Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting Staff Accountant I Assist with preparation of financial statements for all branches/departments of Sturm Financial Group. Assist with preparation and formulation of budget data for the company's annual budgeting process. Works closely with accounting operations personnel to ensure accuracy of financial reporting systems and data. Creates reports to facilitate various management reporting needs. Assists with General Ledger Integration to facilitate reporting needs. Assists with external audit processes as needed. Assists with preparation of quarterly regulatory reports. Processes specialized accounting transactions. Perform month end close processes including account review, reconciliations and subsidiary accounting. Process company stock transactions. Financial Reporting Staff Accountant II Ability to complete the level 1 essential duties and responsibilities. Research accounting rules and regulations as required to facilitate reporting. Assists supervisor in providing analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems with financial report users. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with GAAP and regulatory guidelines. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses to support regional management decision making. Assists with monthly forecasting process. Responsible for preparation of budget data for various balance sheet or income statement accounts. Responsible for preparation of assigned quarterly regulatory reports/schedules. Education and/or Experience
Financial Reporting Accountant I 0 - 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Preferred experience in banking. Preferred software experience with Strata-Axiom, Fiserv-Prologue. Financial Reporting Account II 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Preferred experience in banking. Preferred software experience with Strata-Axiom, Fiserv-Prologue.
