Position: Field Estimator, Commercial Roofing Location: Chicago, IL Salary: $70,000 DOE + gas card, and company truck, technology package Our client is a Top 20 roofing contractor and has been in business for almost 40 years and services the commercial and industrial markets. Due to massive growth, their Reroofing division is looking for a Field Estimator to join their fastest growing division. You crucial role in evaluating project requirements, estimating costs, and preparing accurate bids for commercial roofing projects. Your expertise in roofing systems, materials, and construction methods, along with your analytical and problem-solving skills, will contribute to the successful acquisition and execution of projects. Estimate material quantities, labor requirements, equipment needs, and subcontractor costs based on project specifications and industry standards. Utilize estimating software, historical data, and industry benchmarks to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates. Continuously evaluate and seek cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and alternative material and design options. Identify potential cost overruns or deviations from the estimated budget and propose mitigation strategies. Requirements Must have a clean driving record and valid drivers license. Must be willing to drive to jobs in and around Chicago and Crystal Lake, IL Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the commercial roofing or construction industry. Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Proficiency in estimating software and tools. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating. Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations is a plus. #danieln
