We’re looking for a visionary and experienced Chief Operations Officer (COO) of Electric Systems to lead one of the most vital divisions of our utility. This executive role is responsible for overseeing every aspect of our electric operations — from generation and power supply to transmission, distribution, compliance, and engineering — ensuring that our systems remain reliable, resilient, and forward-thinking. Primary Responsibilities Lead strategic operations across electric generation, transmission, distribution, engineering, and compliance functions. Direct and develop leaders across multiple departments including Engineering, Power Supply, Generation, Maintenance & Construction, and Support Services. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations — serving as PWC’s Compliance Officer for NERC. Drive performance and innovation across infrastructure, systems, workforce, and customer service operations. Collaborate closely with the CEO/General Manager and other division leaders to fulfill PWC’s mission and strategic goals. Demonstrate expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and capital investment strategies associated with a multi-million-dollar utility operation. Job Requirements Proven leadership in electric utility operations with 10+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years in a senior management role. A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and active Professional Engineer (PE) license. Deep knowledge of utility management, engineering practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance. Strong communication, planning, and people management skills — with the ability to lead large, complex teams and projects.
