Baptist Health/Arkansas Health Group employs approximately 700 physicians and advanced practice providers in across 12 hospitals and >120 clinical practice groups. They are recruiting a Primary Care/Population Health Medical Director to join the Physician Leadership Team that consists of the Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director of Primary Care, and Medical Director of Specialties.

Based in the capital city of Little Rock, the Primary Care Medical Director will have oversight of 50 Primary Care Clinics across the state of Arkansas and will also co-lead the development of population health and value-based care programs.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): • Supervisory oversight of 50+ clinical primary care practices and 200+ providers • Direct interaction and partnership with the Population Health Service Organization providing oversight and implementation of value-based care contracts and delivery of care • Oversee the development and maintenance of a quality improvement process for each primary care practice and all providers. Lead the effort to evaluate each clinic for opportunities and needs for growth to add providers • Lead the effort to evaluate the potential need for, develop, and open new clinics in new locations • Provider workforce planning and recruitment, as well as the planning and delivery of provider onboarding.
