A mental health facility is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Central Florida.

This is a 40-hour per week position (typically 8am5pm, Monday through Friday) for an MD (FM or IM) to provide care to adult male patients in a correctional or similar setting. There is no call required, and the provider will see approximately 810 patients per day. Responsibilities include treating injuries, acute illness, chronic care (including diabetes), physicals, follow-ups, standard mental health, and H&Ps. Candidates must have an active Florida license, Florida DEA, and BLS certification. The facility uses paper charts and HCS for prescribing, and there is strong on-site support from MAs, RNs, NPs, and MDs. Credentialing takes 1 to 5 weeks.
