About the Role:
Global Systems Engineering, LLC an Intreped Partners company is a HUBZone small business that supports the federal government with a variety of high-end technical and engineering services We are seeking a Facility Control Systems Manager/Operator to support the Operational Technology (OT) Inventory Project for Army National Guard installations. Youll partner with a Cyber Network Engineer to perform detailed physical and logical inventories of facility-based control systems including HVAC, alarm systems, utility monitoring, and other low-voltage automation systems.
Location:Travel-based across Northeast (Road Island, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine) to installations and buildings operated by the Army National Guard (ARNG)
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in virtual and on-site kickoff meetings with project stakeholders
Conduct daily coordination meetings and debriefs during field inventory periods
Identify and inventory all OT systems from levels 1-5 using the USACE ICS Inventory Methodology
Perform detailed walk-throughs of facilities to document automation systems
Inventory all hardware, software, and firmware related to OT control systems
Collect and organize supporting property information including maps, diagrams, and vendor documentation
Assist in the development of detailed network topology diagrams, including data flow and interconnection to DoD and external networks
Document and submit hardware/software inventory using UFGS 25 05 11 format
Support logical inventory tasks including scans, packet captures, and network assessments (as approved)
Work closely with Cyber Analysts to support RMF compliance analysis and cost estimation
Report vulnerabilities and cybersecurity concerns within 24 hours
Ensure all data collected is treated as Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), stored securely, and handled per FedRAMP Moderate baseline and government directives
Qualifications:
A bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g., cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or related discipline) is preferred but not required. In lieu of a degree, candidates may qualify through a combination of:
At least 57 years of progressively responsible experience in operational technology, industrial control systems, facility-related control systems, or related cybersecurity functions.
Relevant technical certifications such as manufacturer-specific controls certifications (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Siemens Desigo, Johnson Controls Metasys).
Documented experience performing system inventories.
Demonstrated ability to produce network diagrams, hardware/software inventories, and compliance documentation to DoD or equivalent federal/critical infrastructure standards.
5+ yearsof professional experience in facility automation, building control systems, or OT/ICS environments, including: Experience withHVAC,fire alarm systems,energy management, andutility monitoring systems
Experience working insecure/military facilities, understanding access, documentation, and reporting protocols
Proven ability toinventory and map low-voltage control systemsand identify operational risks and interdependencies
Familiarity withnetwork-connected OT, including IP-enabled controllers and integration with DoD or enterprise systems
Meet the requirements of a Cyber Defense Infrastructure Support Specialist (Work Role ID 521) at the Intermediate level or higher as defined by DoD 8140.03M
Hands-on experience with: Reviewingtopology diagrams, wiring schematics, and control panels
Using or interpreting outputs from tools likeWireshark,Nozomi, or equivalent
Understanding of RMF (Risk Management Framework)and cybersecurity practices in operational environments
Excellent interpersonal, reporting, communication and technical writing skills
Must be a U.S. citizenship and fluent in English, as required by federal contracts.
Must comply with facility-specific access, PPE, and identification requirements
Familiarity with low-voltage systems, industrial controls, and energy management platforms
Willingness to travel to military facilities and comply with site-specific access and safety
Ability to work in secure government environments and follow strict policy and access protocols
