ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and develop relationships with the Corporate Merchants and all support staff across all functions at Home Depot. This includes but is not limited to marketing, logistics, planning and senior managers.
Interact and lead the team for engagement with Orange Apron Media, our Brand Advocate, and Space Planner. Also engage with Regional Merchandise Managers throughout the country.
Profitably grow top line sales through implementing creative programs to foster a leadership position within the product category.
Monitor and track POS for purposes of forecasting and managing changes in ordering trends.
Work with Marketing and the dotcom team to help grow online sales.
Manage the processes for chargebacks, shipping claims, and fines.
Understand competitors and their go-to-market strategy, be vigilant and look for competitive threats.
Based on a thorough understanding of competitive programs through both traditional retail and distribution channels, recommend pricing strategies to insure optimum sales and profits.
Develop and execute sales and merchandising programs to meet the needs of Home Depot. Interact with MET teams for execution of new plans and regular bay maintenance.
Assist in the development of product training programs, Point of Purchase materials, merchandising programs, and advertising to support the product category.
Work with internal support teams and external agencies to accomplish defined goals.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Education: Bachelors degree or equivalent
Experience: 10 years sales and 3+ years experience in Home Depot Account Management.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong communication, organizational, analytical, negotiation and management skills
Strong computer skills Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Thorough knowledge of retail channel and the home improvement industry
Able to work successfully as part of a multi-functional team
Ability to develop and execute ideas, products or concepts effectively both internally and externally
Ability to organize and present analytical and competitive information
Proven track record of success in building sales and gross margins.
Ability to travel 20% of the time to Fluidmaster HQ, Home Depot Foundation Events, and/or Customer and Regional Meetings.
