OVERVIEW: As an Events Associate, you will provide personalized product recommendations tailored to the skill and experience levels of our athletes. You will support the Field Lead/Coach in organizing in-store sports events, both on and off the field, and have the opportunity to assist with DICK'S sponsored camps, clinics, and programs, ensuring a fun and safe environment for all participants. Your key responsibilities will include: Delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring our team embodies DICK'S commitment to athlete-first interactions. Assisting the Field Lead/Coach with field programming, encouraging fun and active participation for our athletes. Building strong relationships with local schools, sports leagues, and community organizations to create partnerships for field events. Collaborating with the Community Team to offer clinics, camps, and afterschool programs, enhancing our field activities. Providing top-notch training and coaching for teammates to align with our store vision, including one-on-one conversations and group training. Managing time effectively and adapting to priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Adhering to all loss prevention standards. Promoting company initiatives like warranty sales, loyalty programs, and seasonal promotions. Empowering our athletes through expert product knowledge and consultative advice. Completing additional tasks as assigned by management. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred: At least 2 years of customer service experience. Strong customer service orientation. Attention to detail and a proactive attitude. Depending on the location of the House of Sport, you may be required to submit relevant state-mandated clearances to supervise minors.
